LIFE Community Farm
Brought back to life, one harvest at a time.
About the farm:
Located: 620 Alum Creek Drive, Columbus, OH 43205
The LIFE Community Farm sits on the east side of LIFE Vineyard Church property. After sitting abandoned for five years, the space was transformed in 2024 into a working farm. Everything grown here goes to our service partner agency, Broad Street Food Pantry, putting fresh produce on the table for neighborhood families.
A high tunnel lets us start earlier in spring and keep growing later into fall. The farm's two beehives pollinate the crops and serve as a communal hive for our partnership with the Mid-Ohio Farm Master Beekeeper Series, where new beekeepers get hands-on time with a working colony. Volunteers help grow the farm during our early-morning community cultivations, where neighbors plant, weed, and harvest alongside our team.
Join Fresh Food Connect
Fresh Food Connect links food pantries with fresh produce from backyard gardens and local farms, and The Garden District Corporation is the Franklin County operator. Potager is the proof of concept: a residential backyard growing for pantries, markets, and a citywide network. If you grow more than you can use, download the app and share the extra with a pantry near you.
