The Garden District Community Farm sits on three fenced City of Columbus Land Bank parcels on the Southside, three blocks from South High School. It is one of our largest growing sites and a place where neighbors at every experience level can learn to grow food.
The farm has 10 community garden plots for neighbors who want to grow their own, plus 4 larger plots for growers in our Urban Farmer Program. A market garden supplies our farmers market booth and the service partner agencies we work with across the city. The farm also includes a free farm stand, compost systems, two beehives, and a communal space with an outdoor table and benches where gardeners and neighbors can gather.
We have 10 community garden plots available each season for neighbors at every experience level. Grow what you want, share what you can, and join a group of gardeners who look out for each other and the farm.
*Applications open January 1st thru April 1st

Four larger plots for growers ready to farm at a bigger scale. Grow for sale, for your family, or for donation. The program gives farmers the space and support to grow, and it is open to anyone with the drive to farm, whether you are just starting out or have years in the field.

Produce grown here is sold at local farmers markets through the Potager Fresh Market and shared with the service partner agencies we work with across the city.

Our farm stand is where we wash, pack, and store the harvest before it heads out. The mural on the back was painted by Susan Couden, GDC board member and garden leader.

Ten plots for neighbors who want to grow their own food. Plots are leased each season to gardeners at every experience level.
